  1. The goal of my night photography was simple, to represent my hometown in the dark. I wanted to represent the old lights of the town, and show how they are old and maybe cracked, but they were still useful. My process was to drive around the town, and look for signs that were lit up and one-of-a-kind.
The first picture is taken of the Kolstad Jewelers sign, a local jewelry store that has been in business since 1950. I started taking pictures of the sign straight on from across the street, but soon decided that trying to take a picture from directly under it might be a more interesting angle. The way the bricks and window are lit from the light of the sign can show part of the buildings age.
The second picture is taken of a bar sign. The Oasis Bar is located on Main Street. I stood down the street and tried to focus on the sign. This picture represents how old the sign is with the crack running down the sign.
The results of these pictures were good. Both pictures show the uniqueness of different old signs around my hometown. They show the old, but usefulness of these signs.
