  1. My subject for my portrait pictures was my good friend from my hometown. She was very willing and helpful during our photo shoot. My goal was to represent her as not only an athlete, but also someone with a colorful personality. We picked a couple of her outfits and we soon decided on jeans with her basketball warm-up jersey. We also decided on a pair of bright skateboarding shoes to represent her love of not only bright shoes, but also bright colors. After picking out her outfit we drove around our hometown of Glendive Mt looking for a place that could represent her. We thought of a place by a railroad bridge that covers the Yellowstone River. To access this place, you have to climb down to the river, hop a fence with no trespassing signs hanging from it, walk through thick cockelburrs and crawl under the railroad bridge. Once on the other side, we discovered a place with some great graffiti and colors that worked well with what I was trying to accomplish. We were gathering our items and looking at our pictures when we heard a sound. We soon realized it was a train and we still had to make our way under the bridge, through the field and over the fence before the cops were called. We crawled under the bridge just before the train rolled over it, and fortunately we made it back to the pick-up before any cops greeted us.
After this adventure we decided to keep to the main parts of town, and soon discovered some good spots on the unused car bridge over the Yellowstone. After we shot some pictures on the bridge we went to an outdoor basketball court overlooking the Yellowstone River and displayed her love of basketball.
I am very happy with my results. My goal was to represent her athletic and colorful sides of her personality. The basketball jersey she wears in the pictures help with the athletic part, and the shoes and the colorful graffiti are used to represent her colorful personality. She was also very happy with most of the pictures taken. She was pleased with how she was represented.
